    Quit1

  • Location: Subsector Tyranus
  • Type: Civilised World
  • Tithe: [Pharmacum] Quitania produces a large amount of drugs and pharmaceuticals for the Imperium.
  • Population: 250 Million [250 000 000]
  • Government: Autocracy, the planet is ruled by the richest plantation owning family on the planet, the Slauters, who use brute force and fear to control the population.
  • Description: Quitania is only around half the size of Terra, it also has a very cold climate, a warm day on Quitania is around 5 Degrees Celius. Very few species of plants grow on the planet, the most common being the Quitania Bush, this planet's namesake. The Quitania Bush's seeds, leaves, and stem can be used for all kinds of medicines and drugs, everything from cough syrups to pain relievers to even hallucinogenics. Because of this, the Quitania Bush is grown on massive plantations all over the planet. Because harvesting the Quitania Bush is a delicate process, machines cannot be used to harvest it, so most harvesting is done by slaves. "Quitanian Sugar", a popular stimulant produced from the leaves of the Quitania bush, is known throughout the sector as the drug of choice for the rich, ever since it was first discovered by the original settlers of Quitania.
  • Technology: [IV – Imperial] Technology on Quitania is relatively standard, except that most machinery is modified for use in cold temperatures.
  • Military: The planet has a limited slave PDF, and has been defended by Imperial Guard regiments in the past.
  • Strategic: [Media] While it doesn't have much strategic importance for the Imperium, many nobles in Sector Deus would hate to see the source of their favorite drug disappear.
  • Loyalty: [Imperium 52%] The Imperium supports the current regime, and as such most inhabitants view the Imperium as a cruel, enslaving master. This has lead to many rebellions and slave revolts against the Slauter family and the Imperium. There are constant rumors of a large slave rebellion being planned for the near future.
